The spot
Abersoch sits on the sheltered eastern side of the Llŷn Peninsula, protected from Atlantic swell and offering considerably calmer water than the beaches ten minutes away on the other side. It is a good freeride spot and an easy place to learn.
In season it is also one of the busiest recreational boating areas in Wales, with powerboats, jet skis and moored yachts everywhere. Out of season it becomes a genuinely pleasant spot. Hell's Mouth, over the neck of the peninsula, is the wave alternative.
Nearby alternatives

- Hell's Mouth (Porth Neigwl)
